Daniel Nicholas Ashwood (b. 1988 in Saint Paul, Minnesota) is an American animator, musician, artist, designer, writer, and educator.

His work has been featured on Vice News Tonight on HBO, Gizmodo, Boing Boing, Jezebel, Deadspin, Jalopnik, the Root, the Huffington Post, the Final Edition, the Culture Crush, the Harvard Advocate, the Harvard Lampoon, where he was art director. His work has been screened at the ICA Boston and at international film festivals. His attempts at spirography on the back of math homework have been on display at the Museum of Modern Art. The blank map of Manhattan that he designed for the Map Your Memories project has been vandalized by many kind and gracious cartographers, including Yoko Ono, Neil DeGrasse Tyson, and Phillippe Petit.
